13 Hours Nonstop: Dallas to Nadi, Fiji on Fiji Airways

Fiji Airways has added Dallas-Fort Worth as its fourth mainland North American destination, after Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver. Using its star long-haul Airbus A350-900 aircraft, this 13-hour-and-25-minute flight takes Dallas passengers straight to the heart of the South Pacific, saving at least 4 hours of travel time versus connecting in Los Angeles or San Francisco.

The inaugural flight took off from Dallas on December 10, 2024, and operates three times weekly year-round, with Fiji Airways intending to increase that frequency.

10 reasons why we like Fiji Airways’ route from Dallas to Nadi, Fiji

1. Advanced aircraft

Fiji Airways is using its most advanced Airbus A350-900 on this route, with 301 Economy Class seats in a 3-3-3 configuration and 33 fully lie-flat Business Class beds. Airbus claims the A350 is the world’s quietest twin aisle aircraft, with added passenger comfort from lower altitude cabin pressure and higher humidity.

2. Less jet lag

The late night departure time both ways allows passengers to sleep overnight and minimize jet lag. Fiji is 6 hours behind Dallas in the winter (plus one day) and 7 hours behind in summer (plus one day).

When we searched on March 2, 2025, Alaska Mileage Plan redemption started at 37,500 miles one way (+$19) and AAdvantage redemption started at 40,000 miles one way (+$6) for travel in March 2025.

4. Short trip friendly

Fiji makes an ideal short getaway from Texas and the central US. You could leave on a Tuesday night departure, spend Thursday to Saturday in Fiji and return back to Texas on Saturday night.

5. Gateway to the South Pacific

Nadi is a South Pacific hub, with connections on Fiji Airways to Kiribati, New Caledonia, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

Fiji Airways offers frequent seat sales to Australia and New Zealand, with convenient onwards connections from Nadi to Adelaide, Canberra, Christchurch and Wellington.

You can book a Chef’s Table four-course tasting menu at the Fiji Airways Premier Lounge at Nadi Airport for $150 FJD, even if you’re not a Business class passenger or elite status member. The experience takes 90 minutes and is limited to 8 passengers, with a 6:30pm seating.

Can I redeem miles and points to travel nonstop from Dallas to Fiji?

Fiji Airways is a member of oneworld, adding to DFW’s huge lineup of oneworld partner airlines, including Pacific carriers Japan Airlines, Cathay Pacific and Qantas.

You can redeem American AAdvantage miles or Alaska Mileage Plan miles on this route, with redemption starting at 37,500 miles one way in Economy class for sample dates searched in March 2025.

Alternate routes from Dallas to Nadi, Fiji

There is currently only one nonstop flight between Honolulu and Nadi, operating overnight on Saturdays, and this doesn’t connect well with American’s two daily nonstops from Dallas to Honolulu.

So the only viable alternatives from Dallas to Nadi would be connecting on Fiji Airways in San Francisco or Los Angeles, which adds at least 4 hours to the trip.
